About
Romulo Nunez
Romulo was born in Lima, Peru and has been a highly successful youth soccer coach in the Bay Area for over a decade. He has coached at some of the most prestigious clubs in the area as well as several middle and high school programs. Presently, outside of his work with the Strikers, Romulo is the head varsity and JV coach at Westmoor High School. He is completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Strength Coach and Personal Trainer certifications. Romulo has earned his USSF National C License.
Whether coaching with our Mini’s and Juniors, competitive teams or men’s league teams, Romulo is considered a players coach. His goal has always been to become a better coach and to connect with his players so that kids can fall in love with the sport and be able to deal with all types of situations.
Romulo is married and has three children. All five play soccer! He is a fan of many great teams throughout the world – FC Barcelona, Man City, PSG, AC Milan, Universitario de Deportes, Boca Juniors and Deportivo Independiente Medellin. He loves music (especially Cajon Afro-Latin music), plays congas and bongos, and is known to sing and dance salsa on occasion. He’s also a DJ from time to time. In his spare time, he loves going to the gym and working out and riding his Ninja Kawasaki 650 motorcycle.
