Carlos Baquedano

Carlos was born in Chile. He has playing experience for the Coló and Cobreloa Academies. Both are important professional teams in Chile. During this time, he played two Internacional tournaments in Argentina and with the pre-selection World Sub 20 team for Chile.
When Carlos turned 18 he made the decision to stop playing soccer and began to study
Physical Education at La Universidad Pedagogía.

Carlos’ favorite memory is taking one of his former teams, from Belmont United, to a tournament in Portugal last year. His experience as a coach in the United States began in 2002 and now he’s proud to be coaching with the Alpine Strikers. Carlos has a National D Coaching License and the National Diploma.

Carlos’ favorite player is Messi, as he is an extraordinary player and a good person. Carlos believes he’s a good role model for the players in his teams, something that he also tries to integrate into his coaching. Carlos emphasizes respect for teammates, rivals, referees, and everyone who is close to the game.
