FUTURES LEAGUE
At Stanford Strikers FC, our players are at the heart of everything we do. We recognize the importance of fostering teamwork & camaraderie—especially among our youngest athletes who are just beginning their soccer journey.
A few years ago, we set out to strengthen connection, confidence, & development within this age group. Today, we’re excited to introduce our newest initiative: the Futures League — an internal league created specifically for our U8 & U9 players who aren’t yet part of the competitive program.
The Futures League offers more opportunities for our players to play, grow, & build lasting friendships in a fun, supportive environment. It’s designed to continue nurturing their love for the game while placing teamwork, growth, & joy at the center of every session.
This league serves as the perfect bridge to our competitive pathway — helping young players gain experience, confidence, & connection before taking their next step with Stanford Strikers FC.
Program Highlights
- Each team will be professionally coached by a member of our staff
- 1 weekday practice & 1 weekend game or practice, with additional Friday clinics for players interested in more training options
- 5v5 format allows for maximum time on the ball
- All teams will follow a standardized curriculum with an emphasis on skill development as well as basic rules and game tactics
- Futures League uniforms will be provided by the club at no additional cost. Each player will receive two uniform tops, game shorts, & 1 pair of socks.
