Gio Luna has successfully coached in the area for the last decade with the last eight years at Stanford SC. He has also coached with Cañada College’s Women’s program, the Palo Alto High School Girl’s team, the Victory SC Women’s Futsal team and with San Carlos United.

Gio grew up playing locally for Palo Alto SC, Stanford SC and Santa Clara Sporting. From there he developed his game at Foothill CC and Mission CC and with the Bay Area Futsal Club. One of his biggest highlights was being part of the USSF Select National Futsal team. Gio is still active playing for the JASA Men’s team and La Famiglia Futsal Club.

Soccer has been a family affair for Gio and his family. His dad played for the Earthquakes in the 1980’s. Both his dad and older brother both played for Foothill CC just like he did. Presently his younger brothers play for the MLS franchise Real Salt Lake. Outside the field and beyond his soccer exploits, Gio loves pizza!
