Ross played as a youth in Australia and New Zealand, gaining youth representative honors.  He spent time at youth professional teams in England and Spain before playing in Australia at Brisbane Lions & St George Budapest.

Immediately upon arriving in the United States, Ross was involved in a youth professional coaching organization, Academy Soccer, which was a pioneer in the youth soccer coaching scene in the area. Ross has coached at several Bay Area Soccer clubs and  elite teams for over 20 years. He has developed scores of players to progress to the highest level collegiately and some to professional careers.

Ross’ main aim now is to develop young players, enhance their skills,  knowledge and love of the game.
