About

Tiago Oliveira

Boys Technical Director

Soccer has been at the center of Tiago De Oliveira’s life from an early age. Growing up in Brazil, he trained in several high-performance football academies, gaining firsthand insight into the discipline, commitment, and challenges required to develop at the highest levels of the game. Those experiences continue to shape his coaching philosophy and his passion for helping young players reach their full potential.

Since beginning his coaching career in 2009, Tiago has built an extensive international coaching career spanning Brazil, the United States, Ireland, Portugal, Latvia, and the United Arab Emirates. His diverse background includes roles as a Head Coach, Director of Coaching, Tactical Analyst, and youth development leader, working with players from grassroots through senior and semi-professional levels. Throughout his career, he has coached within professional environments in Portugal and Ireland, led teams competing in the UPSL and NPSL in the United States, and worked with players in the MLS NEXT pathway.

Committed to lifelong learning, Tiago holds the C, B, A, and recently completed the AFA PRO Coaching License through the Argentine Football Association (AFA), recognized by CONMEBOL, in addition to a UEFA C License. He has further expanded his expertise through advanced education in tactical analysis, physical preparation, leadership, and youth development with organizations including Barça Innovation Hub, CONMEBOL, Scottish FA/UEFA, and the Football Association of Wales.

Beyond developing individual players, Tiago is passionate about developing coaches, strengthening club culture, and creating a consistent player pathway that supports long-term growth both on and off the field. As Boys Technical Director, he is committed to building an environment where players develop technical excellence, tactical intelligence, confidence, and a lifelong love of the game. He believes in fostering a clear football identity built on intelligent decision-making, creativity, teamwork, and continuous improvement while supporting coaches in delivering a consistent, high-quality developmental experience across every age group.

Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, Tiago brings a global perspective and a player-centered approach to Stanford Strikers FC. He is excited to partner with players, coaches, and families to continue strengthening the boys program while fostering an environment where every player can grow with confidence, compete with purpose, and develop both on and off the field.
